Disclosure: I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Summary: From one of Australia’s most talented new creators comes this beautiful ode to the wonders of our natural world. From the tiniest beetle to the most majestic whale, every creature on Earth is a marvel, deserving of awe and compassion. This beautiful picture book is a unique celebration of living things of many kinds — and the kindness we can show them as we wander through the world. It’s a gentle, rhyming introduction to the diversity of the animal kingdom, resonant with messages of care and stewardship for our fellow inhabitants of this planet.

Kind

This is an amazing book and I’m so glad I received it. The images are beautiful and very colourful and the words draw you in. The book is all about being kind to all Earth’s creatures.

I love the introduction which ends with:

“But kind is more than type. Kind is how to care for creatures that you meet and places that we share.”

Introduction of Kind by Jess McGeachin

I think that’s so important to remember. We SHARE this Earth. It’s not ours.

The book shows different kinds of animal types such as shown below but the words also ask us to care for them. I love the rhyming words and the cute illustrations that show the wide differences there are in the animal kingdom.

I think a fun way to incorporate more learning with this book if you’re a homeschooler, is to have them pick one of the specific animals to do a report on. But even if you just read the book, you’ll learn how varied life is on Earth.
