Chicken Soup for the Soul: Empowered Woman

It was nice to read this book and these women’s stories. They made me feel proud of these women even though I didn’t know them. I guess as a woman I like to know other women are standing up for what is right, believing in themselves and making a difference.

The different sections contain stories with different themes.

  • Who Am I – stories about women realizing who they are or learning to be proud of who they are
  • I Found My Courage – women finding their courageous sides
  • Doing What’s Right for Me – women putting themselves first
  • Going It Alone – women doing things or going places alone
  • I Stepped Outside My Comfort Zone – women trying new or scary things
  • Walk the Talk – women putting themselves out there
  • Sticking Up for What’s Right – women taking a stand for what they believe in
  • Time for Me – more women putting themselves first
  • Figuring It Out Myself – women learning to do things themselves

I felt empowered just by reading the book. That’s not just a sappy statement that sounds good in a review. I really did feel like I could accomplish more and I felt stronger as a women by reading what other women have accomplished.

This would make a great gift for a woman in your life that needs a little push to be courageous and strong.
