Lucky by Alice Sebold

I read this back in early 2007 but just kept putting off writing a review. It was a very gripping book but also very hard to read for the same reasons. Since this is a true story I couldn’t help imagining it was happening to me. Reading it made me quite depressed although I get that effect fairly often with any kind of sad book or movie.

Since it was read so many months ago, I can’t comment on writing style or anything too specific. If I ever read it again I’ll come back and add to the review. If you haven’t read this book, I do recommend you read it, just be prepared. Not for under 18’s.
