Summary: Clare Walker Leslie shows kids how to experience nature with all five senses, whether they live in the countryside, a major city, or somewhere in between. Guiding children through inspiring activities like sketching wildlife, observing constellations, collecting leaves, keeping a weather journal, and watching bird migrations, The Nature Connection encourages kids to engage with the world outside and promotes a lifelong love of nature.

The Nature Connection

This beautiful workbook is perfect for kids, families and classrooms just like the title mentions. It’s designed for kids to write directly in the book.

Part One is How To Be a Naturalist and talks about your outdoor adventure kit, nature surprises, finding a favourite spot, telling a nature story and help with drawing. Part Two is Learning the Sky and is about cycles and seasons. You’ll learn about clouds, weather, sunrise/sunset, the moon and stars.

Part Three is Exploring Nature – a month by month guide. For each month of the year, there is a little back story, a nature notes section, nature quest and picture of the month sections. For each month there is something to learn. For example for January we learn about how animals keep warm, April is reptiles and signs of Spring and June is Summer Solstice and bugs.

The workbook is in colour and looks really fun.
