Summary:
Millions Like Me – This is my life story. This is what mental illness looks like. This is how it breathes. A real life account of a man that is going through mental illness from the state of Ohio.
Poems From a Bipolar Mind – This book is a follow-up to my first book titled, “Millions Like Me: My Struggle with Mental Illness”. This book is a collection of poems from someone who suffers from mental illness. The poems are all original, and I have been suffering for over 11 years.
The Last Day of July – This is a journal detailing what it’s like to live with mental illness. Everyone is different, but this is how I experience mental illness every day.
The Entropy of Bipolar Disorder – This is a collection of journal entries and social media posts related to mental illness and bipolar disorder
specifically.

Bipolar Books

As I’ve mentioned before, I struggle with Bipolar too. As such I love reading books about Bipolar. I’ve read lots of memoirs and a few informational books about Bipolar.

These books by John Medl are self published and not necessarily as well polished as a book published by a large publishing company. However, that makes the text more raw and real. John tells it like it is. He doesn’t hold anything back. If he’s afraid to share his deep dark thoughts he doesn’t show it.

The books repeat themselves quite a bit but I think that’s because Bipolar can make our brains mush sometimes. I know I get confused easily and the meds sometimes make that part worse.

I am proud of John for opening up. I’ve thought of writing a memoir of my experience with Bipolar but I’m afraid of what my family and friends might think about what darkest thoughts, feelings and actions.
