My family celebrates both Christmas and Hanukkah but since we aren’t actively Jewish I feel we miss part of the real celebration. The first part of the book made me feel like I was part of a Jewish household that solely celebrates Hanukkah and goes to temple and prepares the house for the holiday. I got to see what it’s like for Jewish families.

The chapter “Does December Have to Spell Dilema” covers families similar to mine where two holidays are celebrated.
