I received this book through Mini Book Expo. It’s from Wolsak and Wynn Publishers Ltd.
This is a small journal-like memoir of a pregnancy, birth and first year. It’s written by an author of two books of poetry. As such there are a few short poems here and there and the journal entries often seem to have a bit of a lyrical quality.
I really enjoyed reading this book, which wasn’t exclusively on babies but also on other aspects of the author’s life such as death and health.
As a mother of two, I could identify with a lot that the author said and it made me want to have another baby really bad!
It’s 248 pages but the book is approx. 5.5″ X 5.5″. So it’s a nice short read for on the bus or in a waiting room. It’s a light read.
