Kid’s Picks – November

Spread the love
I was supposed to do this yesterday but didn’t have a chance.
Kids’ Picks is where we talk about what our kids are reading or what we are reading to our kids. So here are the top 3 books we’ve been reading (My girls are 18 months and 3 in January)

Dear Zoo by Rod Campbell
This is such a great book and quite popular but if you haven’t heard of it, go get one for your kids. Perfect for ages 2 1/2 and under.
“I wrote to the zoo to send me a pet. They sent me an… Elephant. He was too big! I sent him back.”

If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Joffe Numeroff

Another popular book. We own If you give a pig a pancake and we ordered If You Take A Mouse to the Movies so I figured we should read this one. It’s a fav and I think I’ll get a copy.
A Children’s Zoo by Tana Hoban
I love Tana Hoben books. They have either no words or little words and so you can tell the story however you want and point out things which is what children like most. This one shows animals and give three words about them. Plus a chart at the back says where the animals come from, where they live and what they eat.
“PARROT, red, blue, squawks”
