The Overnight by R.L. Stine

Spread the love

Stars: ****

I read this book for the Heart of a Child, Read It Again and Well-Rounded challenges.

I read lots of R.L. Stine as a kid and teen, both Goosebumps and Fear Street. I love R.L. Stine’s stories, even the ones where you can tell what the ending will be. It’s just enough scariness, even for me as an adult. I read the book while camping myself and after reading the first ¼ of it I walked alone in the dark to the bathroom. I was very nervous and kept looking behind myself and thinking I heard things.

I recommend these books for any child 10 and over (or 13 and over for Fear Street) who likes a good scare that isn’t too scary.
