The Yellow Balloon and Dimity Dumpty

Spread the love
The Yellow Balloon by Charlotte Dematons

Stars: ****1/2

This was an awesome book with no words. There is a yellow balloon, blue car and man on a flying carpet on each page and you can follow any one of them on their journeys through the pages. Each spread is a new place, with TONS of detail. You can look at each spread for 5 minutes and keep finding new things. It was very cool and I looked at it more than my toddler. It’s like a Where’s Waldo without a list of what to find.

Dimity Dumpty: The Story of Humpty’s Little Sister by Bob Graham

Stars: ***

This was a cute idea but the story could have been better. It not only tells about Humpty’s sister but also how Humpty came to be falling of a wall in the first place and how he did get put back together again after all. I got it from the library but I can’t imagine anyone buying it as it’s listed as $16 US $21 CAN! For a picture book!
