The Quill Book Awards at MSNBC
The Quills, … , is an industry-qualified “consumers choice” awards program for books. The Quills celebrates the best adult and children’s books of the year in 19 popular categories, ranging in everything from biography to general fiction to cookbooks and graphic novels.

J.K. Rowling has been spotted at cafes in Scotland working on a detective novel, a British newspaper reported Saturday.

Wrinkle in Time Author dies at 88
Author Madeleine L’Engle, whose novel “A Wrinkle in Time” has been enjoyed by generations of schoolchildren and adults since the 1960s, has died, her publicist said Friday. She was 88.

Running With Scissors Suit Settled
A family that claimed they were defamed in the best-selling book “Running with Scissors” has settled a lawsuit against the writer and his publisher. Author Augusten Burroughs and publisher St. Martin’s Press agreed to call the work a “book” instead of “memoirs….

Barnes and Noble will Not Stock O.J. Simpson Book
Citing a perceived lack of customer interest, the chain said the book would only be available by special order or for purchase online through Barnes & Noble.com.
