When I Go Camping with Grandma by Marion Dane Bauer
Stars: ***

A young girl (age 6-8 most likely) goes camping with her Grandma where they roast marshmallows, go canoeing, catch fish and sleep in a tent.

The illustrations (by Allen Garns) are very dark and hard to see but the story itself is pretty good. The only problem is that when my daughter goes camping with Grandma, she doesn’t canoe or go fishing so this book doesn’t show her what to expect when SHE goes camping. But that’s not the books fault.
