Summary: Are you feeling tired, strung-out, and out of patience with your child’s ADHD, even though you know it’s not their fault? You are the only one who can truly advocate for your kid… but you also get to a point where you need some help and support yourself. ADHD requires a super-advanced level of parenting skills – but the good news is that those skills are within your reach… and the extra effort you put in now will pay off big time later.

You’re about to unlock the secrets to make their life – and yours – so much easier. You may have been advised to use a range of parenting techniques, only to find that they don’t have an impact on your kid at all, or that their success is short-lived. That’s because the majority of parenting methods are designed for children with neurotypical brains.

To give your child the support they deserve, you need specific ADHD-aligned tools… and that’s exactly what you’re about to gain access to.

Discover the top tricks, hacks, and proven methods used by individuals with ADHD (as well as parents and families), and watch your child flourish.

ADHD and Emotional Intelligence

I’ve been reading up a lot on ADHD lately because two of my children were recently diagnosed. I have read a few books on it now but this is by far the best so far. It covers not only the regular ADHD information but Emotional Intelligence too. If you aren’t familiar with EI it’s a big part of being able to regulate your emotions and deal with them. Children with ADHD (and other issues) have trouble with EI.

The book delves into what symptoms of ADHD are but in more than just a list type way. It will help you determine if your child is possibly struggling with ADHD or if they are just misbehaving and how to tell the difference. Case studies are included which help you to take what the book says and think about it in terms of real families. This can help you determine what’s going on in your family. There are tips on how to get a diagnosis and whether you SHOULD get a diagnosis or not. I think this is an important section.

The managing emotions section is by far the best as I said. I need to read it again and again to get it to sink in. Most people need help with emotional intelligence and regulation, including me. It’s not just ADHD kids who struggle with it. I found lots in the book that was helpful to me. There is a chapter on socializing with ADHD and the ADHD teen. There is a coping skills chapter too.

I highly recommend this book to all parents and caregivers of those who have or may have ADHD.
