Summary: The Last Surviving Dinosaur: The TyrantoCrankaTsuris introduced the kid readers to the tiniest, most dangerous dinosaur on the planet: The TyrantoCrankaTsuris. All humans descended from this tiny dinosaur-and this follow-up book for adults examines how “crankiness” is part of our nature. Using good humor throughout, Steven Joseph observes that we typically do not hesitate to pour out our CrankaTsuris all over our spouses, kids, parents, and siblings-and then there can be a CrankaTsuris retaliation. Before you know it, you are in the middle of a CrankaTsuris food fight.

We’re all cranky at times, but it’s imperative we find a more effective way to be cranky while still making the world a happier place. In this book, learn how to: Create space for both yours and your family’s crankiness, Utilize a fun “team” approach to crankiness, Take steps to avoid being too cranky, Improve communication with friends and family, Handle cranky dinosaurs in your life (including children) and Effectively diagnose and treat the “Common CrankaTsuris” When it comes to crankiness, the infection rate in a given room is likely close to 100 percent. When trying to manage that crankiness-as well as your own-the ultimate answer will always be love.

A Grownup Guide to Effective Crankiness: The CrankaTsuris Method

We all get cranky but how we handle that crankiness is important. In this book, the author teaches us how to be effectively cranky. Using the picture book he wrote for kids as a basis, he teaches us how to express our CrankaTsuris (our crankiness) in healthy ways.

If you are wondering, like I was, why it’s CrankaTsuris and not Crankasaurus, the author explains. Tsuris is a Yiddish word for problems. Our problems are exactly what we are cranky about so that’s perfect.

There was definitely good information in the book. The author includes lots of funny and interesting stories. However some of them it was hard to tell if he was joking or not and some I didn’t think made any sense to the book. I did like his writing style though and especially his stories about growing up Jewish. I’d love to read a memoir on that. *hint hint to author*

The book needs some further editing but that doesn’t usually bother me too much, I know what is meant. I like that it’s different that any other book I’ve ever read or heard of. I don’t know of any other books about effective crankiness. Very original.
