Gleaned from A Patchwork of Books

What are you reading right now?
Magic or Madness by Justine Larbalestier. It’s a YA novel that is VERY interesting.

Do you have any idea what you’ll read when you’re done with that?
I have Tracy Hoag’s The Baby Whisperer for Toddlers from the library to read. Then in September I have lots of books to start reading for all my challenges.

What’s the worst thing you were ever forced to read?
In school I didn’t always like the books they made us read but I like them all now. I mostly just didn’t like being forced to write essays about them. I don’t want to study writing styles and symbols.

What’s the one book you always recommend to just about anyone?
Any of Alice Hoffman’s books. The Ice Queen and Second Nature are among the best.

Admit it, the librarians at your library know you on a first name basis, don’t they?
I don’t know that they know my name but they certainly know my face. The library near my parents house knew me as a preschooler lol.

Is there a book you absolutely love, but for some reason, people never think it sounds interesting, or maybe they read it and don’t like it at all?
I’m always recommending YA literature and no one takes me seriously thinking that kid’s books can’t possibly be good.

Do you read books while you eat? While you bathe? While you watch movies or TV? While you listen to music? While you’re on the computer?
Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, yes. No one can understand how I can read and watch TV but I do!

When you were little, did other children tease you about your reading habits?
Yes all the time. I was called a Brown-noser because I was smart and teased for having a book to read with me at all times.

What’s the last thing you stayed up half the night reading because it was so good you couldn’t put it down?
Harry Potter 7 of course!
