Steps & Stages: The Toddler Years by Holly Bennett and Teresa Pitman

Spread the love

Stars: *****

An easy to read guide for parents of 1-3 year olds. It is written by the editors of the Steps and Stages column for Today’s Parent magazine. Chapters include:

Dependence and Independence
Sleeping, Eating, Toilet Training
Living with Toddler Traits
The Joy of Play
Becoming Social

It is one of the few books on toddlers that does not make toddlerhood out to be some horrible phase. No Terrible Twos here. In fact the last chapter, a fond farewell to toddlerhood, explains just why toddlers are great!

Besides the main text there are little tidbits of information in small boxes. The best toddler books I’ve read so far.
